Research lab

  • Algorithms, Markets and Agents (AMA) Lab explores the foundations of intelligent decision-making and strategic interaction in digital environments. We study algorithmic game theory, market and mechanism design, multi-agent systems, and decentralized technologies, with particular interests in AI-driven markets, LLM-based agents, data economies, and blockchain-enabled platforms. Our goal is to develop rigorous algorithms, mechanisms, and protocols that are efficient, trustworthy, and socially beneficial.

Updates

  • The 18th International Symposium on Algorithmic Game Theory (SAGT 2025) took place in Bath from September 2nd to 5th, 2025.

Prospective PhD Students

  • I welcome enquiries from prospective PhD students interested in my research areas. Funding for international students is extremely limited. Chinese students applying through the Bath-CSC scheme should note that outcomes are typically announced in June and should contact me only if they would be prepared to accept an offer if successful. Funding for UK Home students occasionally becomes available through grants or other schemes; please get in touch to discuss opportunities.
